National Pet Bird Day is Just Around the Corner—Get Ready to Celebrate on September 17!
Attention, pet bird owners—get ready to celebrate the 6th annual National Pet Bird Day on September 17! Created by the Bird Enjoyment & Advantage Koalition (BEAK), this special day celebrates the joys and benefits of having a companion bird and highlights the importance of responsible bird ownership.
Here are some ways you can join in the festivities:
Vote in the “My Beautiful Pet Bird” contest
Over the summer, we invited bird owners to share their favorite photos and short videos that showcase what makes their pets so special—and now is the time to cast your vote to help us choose the winners! Through September 13, visit the My Beautiful Pet Bird Contest page to review the submissions and vote for your favorite. The top ten entries as determined by popular vote will be reviewed by a committee of judges, with the top three selected by the judges winning cash prizes of up to $500! The winners will be announced on National Pet Bird Day.

Head over to our digital toolkit to find a variety of adorable, National Pet Bird Day-themed social media posts and graphics available for free download. These are perfect for sharing your love of birds online and spreading some joy about the wonders of bird ownership.
