With the 8th Annual National Pet Bird Day coming up soon on September 17, 2026, the Bird Enjoyment & Advantage Koalition (BEAK) and myBird are excited to announce the brand-new myBird’s Feathered Favorites Contest!
This year, we’re celebrating the many ways our feathered companions make our lives more fun, beautiful, and entertaining. We’re inviting bird owners to submit an original photo or short video showcasing what makes their bird special—and there are three ways to win!

Funniest Bird
Does your bird have a hilarious expression, a talent for getting into trouble, or a knack for keeping you laughing? We want to see it!
Most Beautiful Bird
Show off your bird’s stunning colors, gorgeous plumage, or simply a photo that captures their unique beauty.
Best Action Shot
Flying, playing, climbing, splashing, dancing, or otherwise caught in the middle of something exciting? This category is for you!
Here’s How It Works
- Submit your entry — an original photo or short video of your pet bird — by 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 11, 2026.
- Choose one of the three categories that best fits your entry and tell us a little about your bird.
- Invite your friends, family, and fellow bird lovers to vote! Public voting will take place September 12–15.
- A panel of judges will review the top-voted entries in each category and select one winner per category.
- Winners will be announced on National Pet Bird Day, September 17!
What Can You Win?
Thanks to the generous support of our Feathered Favorites prize sponsors, each category winner will receive a $100 Pet Supplies Plus gift card plus two prize packages filled with bird products and treats.
